Key visitor guide network expands into Ghana

KEY MAGAZINES, INC., is pleased to announce development of the first Key affiliate on the African continent.

“We’re very excited about the start of Key Ghana, which serves leisure and business travelers to that growing West African destination,” said Beth Stafford, publisher of KEY Milwaukee and president of Key Magazines, Inc.

Key Ghana is incorporated in Ghana, but it was developed and is produced by Laure Leplae-Arthur of Glendale, Wisconsin. Key Ghana is printed by J.B. Kenehan LLC of Waukesha, Wis., which also prints KEY Milwaukee.

“The linkage of our magazine with the Key network in the U.S. is viewed very favorably in Ghana,” said Ms. Leplae-Arthur. “Leisure and business travelers are coming to Ghana in record numbers and our role is to provide advice, tips and stories to make their stay in Accra and throughout the country truly memorable.”

Nana Nketsia-Eshun represents Key Ghana in Accra, the capital of the country and home base for the new magazine. The Greater Accra Metropolitan Area has a population of 4 million, making it the 11th largest metropolitan area in Africa. Approximately 25% of the growing tourism market comes from the U.S.

Key Ghana is available at Accra’s international airport, hotels, resorts and other distribution points. The publication already has an active Internet presence at and is on Facebook (GhanaKey), Twitter (@ghanakey), YouTube, Pinterest and flickr.
